We're getting married 🤍

We are delighted to welcome you to our wedding website.

Here, you’ll find all the essential details for the wedding weekend.

We kindly request your RSVP by 28 February 2026 using the RSVP link below.

Our story

It all began on a Covid-filled night in Dublin, September 19th 2020. The city was quiet, the world was uncertain, but somehow, fate had other plans. We met for our very first date at The Grayson, not knowing that this ordinary evening would change everything.

That night, something unexplainable happened. Sparks didn’t just fly, they set the story in motion.

In 2022, we moved to Amsterdam to begin our life together. New city, new adventures, same love story growing stronger with every chapter. Then, on Christmas night 2024, under a twilight-lit water fountain, Chris got down on one knee. The lights shimmered, the world stood still, and Stephanie said yes.

Now, after years of laughter, love and endless memories, we can’t wait to say “I do” on August 29th 2026, surrounded by family, friends and all the magic that brought us here.

FAQs

FAQs

What will the weather be like?
Ah, the great Irish mystery! The weather in Ireland can be a little unpredictable — we could experience all four seasons in one day. That said, we’re hoping for sunshine and around 20°C. Time to put out the Child of Prague and keep those fingers crossed!

Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we’ll be celebrating this one as an adults-only event for the ceremony and reception. However, children are more than welcome at the Friday Pre-Party in the Knightsbrook Hotel. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we completely understand the logistics that come with traveling families.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony will take place indoors in a beautiful church. The drinks reception will be outdoors (weather permitting!), and the dinner and evening celebrations will continue indoors at The Station House.

How can we give you a gift?
Your presence truly means the world to us, and we don’t expect anything more. But if you’re feeling generous, we’d be so grateful for a contribution to our honeymoon fund. You can send your gift via Revolut or Swish— we’ve set up a dedicated account to help us create more unforgettable memories together.

How do we get there?
The easiest way is to fly into Dublin Airport (DUB), which is about a 30-minute drive from the venue. We’ll be arranging wedding coach transport between the hotel, church, and venue, but free parking will also be available at both the church and The Station House for those who prefer to drive.

Can I give a speech or make a toast?
Absolutely — we’d love that! Please reach out to our legendary Toastmasters, Joel and Victor, at toastdaddies@gmail.com, and they’ll coordinate with you on timing and details.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

We’d love you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, so please keep phones tucked away until we say “I do.” After that, snap away, we can’t wait to see the day through your eyes!

Will Hank be attending?
Sadly, our favourite corgi won’t be joining us on the big day — though we’re pretty sure he’d steal the show if he could! Hank the Tank will be cheering us on from home (with plenty of snacks, of course), but don’t worry — he’ll still make a few cameo appearances throughout the celebrations.

Where should we stay?
For those wishing to stay close to the celebrations, we’ve arranged a special discount at Knightsbrook Hotel — simply quote “Caslin Andersson Wedding” when booking. We are holding these rooms until the end of March 2026, so please book asap if you would like to stay here.

What should I wear?

Friday – Pre-Party at Knightsbrook Hotel
Summer Cocktail Attire
Kick off the celebrations in style. Think effortless elegance with a touch of sparkle — polished, playful, and ready for golden-hour cocktails.
Inspo:
Men: Tailored trousers or slim chinos with a crisp linen shirt or lightweight blazer. Add loafers or sleek sneakers for a modern finish — no tie required.
Women: Flowy midi or maxi dress, chic jumpsuit, or statement co-ord in bold summer hues or soft pastels.

Saturday – The Wedding
Black Tie Optional (but preferred) — Dress to Impress. Think timeless glamour.
Inspo:
Gentleman: Black tie or a dark suit (navy, charcoal, or black) with a classic tie or bowtie. No light colours, please.
Ladies: Elegant floor-length gown, elevated cocktail dress, or chic tailored jumpsuit. Go for sophisticated silhouettes, rich fabrics, and a hint of glam — but please avoid red, white, ivory, or berry tones to let the bridal party shine.

Travel & Stay

For our guests travelling from abroad:
We recommend flying into Dublin Airport (DUB), which is the closest international airport. The venue is approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport, making it an easy and convenient journey to reach the celebrations. If needed, you can rent a car directly at the airport. We would advise prebooking this ahead of travel.

For guests arriving at Dublin Airport: A private taxi to the hotel typically takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around €70–€90.

Where to stay:
For those wishing to stay close to the celebrations, we’ve arranged a special discount at Knightsbrook Hotel — simply quote “Caslin Andersson Wedding” when booking. We are holding these rooms until the end of March 2026, so please book asap if you would like to stay here.

Transport on the day:
We’ll be arranging wedding coach transport to and from the hotel and church, as well as from the church to the venue, to make sure everyone arrives comfortably and on time.

If you prefer to drive yourself, there will be free parking available both at St. Patrick’s Church and at The Station House.

Irish & Swedish Wedding Traditions

Curious about what to expect from an Irish and Swedish celebration? Here’s your cheat sheet to fit right in, from age-old good luck charms to spirited toasts and singalongs that might last all night.

Irish Luck

The Child of Prague
A tiny statue placed outside the night before a wedding to bless the weather with sunshine. If you spot one hidden in a bush, you’ve found our secret weapon for good weather.

The Lucky Horseshoe
An Irish symbol of protection and prosperity. Brides often carry or wear one on the day, always facing up so the luck doesn’t spill out.

Handfasting
The ancient Celtic ritual that inspired the phrase “tying the knot.” A ribbon is wrapped around the couple’s hands to symbolise unity and love.

The Craic
If someone says “the craic was had,” it means the atmosphere was buzzing, full of laughter, stories, and good company.

Irish Toasts
You’ll hear plenty of Sláinte! (pronounced slawn-cha), meaning “to your health.” Expect heartfelt words, raised glasses, and a few misty eyes.

Swedish Charm

The Speeches
In Sweden, speeches are a full-evening affair with heartfelt words, funny stories, and maybe a few light roasts.

The Kissing Game
A Swedish favourite. When the bride leaves the room, the ladies line up to kiss the groom. When the groom leaves, it’s the gents’ turn to kiss the bride.

Schnapps Songs
Before a shot of aquavit or schnapps, Swedes love to sing a short and often hilarious group song. Join in with enthusiasm. Tunefulness is optional.

Tack, tack
Means “thank you.” You’ll hear it everywhere, especially when the drinks start flowing.

The Bridal Crown
Traditionally, Swedish brides wore floral or silver crowns to symbolise purity and love. It’s the inspiration behind modern flower crowns.

Words to Know on the Day

Sláinte! (Irish — pronounced slawn-cha)
Cheers — a toast to health and happiness.

Skål! (Swedish — pronounced skawl)
Cheers — always make eye contact, it’s tradition.

Tack tack! (Swedish — pronounced tack tack)
Thank you very much.

Craic (Irish — pronounced crack)
Fun, laughter, good times (“The craic was mighty!”).

Grand (Irish — pronounced grand)
All good, fine, no worries (“It’ll be grand!”).

Hej hej! (Swedish — pronounced hay hay)
Hi there, a friendly casual greeting.

Go raibh maith agat (Irish — pronounced guh rev mah ah-gut)
Thank you — for the brave ones who try it.

Lagom (Swedish — pronounced lah-gom)
Just right — not too much, not too little.

Slán! (Irish — pronounced slawn)
Goodbye, or safe journey.

Up Da Ra! (Irish — pronounced up da raw)
A phrase shouted with enthusiasm and usually after a pint. Meaning varies depending on who’s asking.

Yup Yup! (Irish — pronounced yup yup)
An expression of pure excitement or agreement — usually shouted, never whispered.

Olé Olé Olé! (Irish — pronounced oh-lay oh-lay oh-lay)
An Irish anthem of celebration, often heard at football matches or anywhere joy breaks out spontaneously. Feel free to join in.

Fun Facts

  • It’s considered good luck if it rains on your wedding day in Ireland, a sign of blessings and renewal.

  • The Swedes love their drinking songs.
Known as snapsvisor, these short, witty tunes are sung before downing a shot of aquavit. By the third round, no one knows the words, but everyone’s shouting anyway.

  • Irish brides traditionally wear “something blue” for luck, not just borrowed.

  • Both cultures believe love should be celebrated with music, so expect a perfect mix of Irish tunes and Swedish singalongs.
